Over the 10 years of living here in the Atlanta area, we discovered that the first half of November is usually optimal for outdoor family or engagement portraits. Fall colors are at their peak, and the weather remains mostly stable.
This past Autumn was a very different story, however. A strong polar vortex unexpectedly plunged all the way down to our latitude, which resulted in several portrait sessions being rescheduled, except for the engagement photo-shoot of a brave couple, Jessica and Marcus. Despite miserable freezing conditions, they showed great chemistry and talent for posing.
